Supporting Materials That Define Battery Pack Durability
A complete lithium battery pack relies on more than just core cells and BMS boards. Structural fixation, vibration damping, and thermal buffering directly determine overall service life and daily reliability. The adhesive tape series and EVA foam series are two essential auxiliary material categories that optimize battery pack assembly processes, improve internal structure stability, and adapt batteries to rough daily operating conditions, such as bumpy e-bike roads, temperature fluctuations, and long-term outdoor exposure.
Many battery failures occur not from cell defects, but from loose internal wiring, damaged insulation layers, and repeated cell friction caused by vibration. High-performance adhesive tapes fix insulation materials firmly, while die-cut EVA foam cushions cells to absorb shocks, reducing mechanical fatigue across the entire battery assembly. Together, these materials create a robust internal framework that works alongside main insulation and conductive components.
Specialized Adhesive Tape Varieties for Battery Manufacturing
Our adhesive tape series includes high-temperature tape, filament tape, yellow cloth tape, and double-sided tape, each designed for specific battery assembly processes. High-temperature tape resists soldering heat and thermal cycling, used during spot welding and circuit board fixing without losing adhesion or releasing harmful residues. Filament tape adds longitudinal tensile reinforcement, strengthening outer battery packaging and preventing splitting during transport and installation.
Yellow cloth tape provides strong adhesion and abrasion resistance for manual wiring bundling and rough-surface fixation, widely used in after-market e-bike battery modifications. Double-sided tape enables clean, residue-free mounting of Mylar film, insulating paper and EVA foam, speeding up automated assembly lines while avoiding messy glue application. All battery-grade tapes maintain stable bonding under humidity changes, seasonal temperature shifts, and continuous vibration, preventing internal layers from peeling or shifting over time.
Custom Die-Cut EVA Foam for Precision Battery Pack Damping
EVA foam series acts as gap filler, shock absorber and thermal buffer inside battery enclosures. Standard bulk EVA foam is further processed via custom foam die-cutting, creating exact shape inserts that fit perfectly around lithium cells, wiring looms and BMS modules. Precision die-cutting eliminates unnecessary gaps, evenly distributing compression force inside the battery case and reducing localized pressure damage to cell surfaces.
EVA foam also helps improve passive thermal balance by filling air pockets, reducing hotspots and slowing uneven temperature rise during high-current discharge. It absorbs road vibration and impact forces that would otherwise directly stress cell terminals and spot weld nickel joints. Different densities of EVA foam can be selected: softer grades for vibration reduction, firmer grades for structural support, balancing cushioning and overall battery pack rigidity.
Optimizing Mass Production & Aftermarket Battery Builds
For OEM battery factories, standardized die-cut EVA foam and pre-specified adhesive tapes greatly reduce manual modification work, speed up assembly cycles, and improve consistency across batches. For DIY and repair applications, matching correct tape heat ratings and EVA foam thickness avoids over-compression or insufficient cushioning inside Hailong battery cases and custom enclosures. Investing in quality battery auxiliary materials lowers after-sales complaints and improves end-user satisfaction, while adding minimal overall material cost to the finished battery pack.
